Meet Bria

My name is Bria Waller. I was born in Albany, Georgia, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, in a loving two-parent household with my two siblings. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the values of faith, discipline, and financial awareness—teaching me how to plan ahead and stay grounded in purpose.

Growing up, I looked up to my big sister, who’s always been one of my closest friends and biggest inspirations. Having her in my corner taught me what true sisterhood looks like—support, accountability, and unconditional love. That bond shaped the woman I’ve become and fuels my passion for helping other young women find that same sense of connection and empowerment.

After high school, I attended Central Piedmont Community College while beginning my career in retail. By 19, I was helping manage a clothing store, quickly moving from sales associate to assistant manager. That early leadership experience inspired me to open my own boutique, where I learned how to balance creativity, business strategy, and community engagement.

In 2019, I transferred to North Carolina A&T State University, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship in May 2023. My career began in the nonprofit sector, supporting employee relief programs for individuals affected by natural disasters—work that deepened my passion for service and community impact. I later transitioned into supply chain and logistics, developing expertise in operations, finance, and client relations.

Through each season of my journey, I’ve found purpose in connection—whether building customer trust, leading teams, or creating opportunities for others to grow. At Storm Sister Project, I’m passionate about fostering relationships, building partnerships, and helping our organization grow in ways that truly change lives.

With the right mindset, education, and support, I believe every young woman can create the life she envisions—and I’m dedicated to helping make that possible.
