Meet Shiron

I’ve always believed that every girl deserves guidance, love, and someone in her corner. Mentoring has been a part of my life since the ’90s — from community programs in Georgia to youth initiatives here in North Carolina. Along the way, I’ve built lasting connections with young women who’ve grown into confident leaders, and each relationship has reminded me just how powerful mentorship can be.

As a sister myself — one of four girls — I know how real sisterhood shapes us. That same spirit of connection and care is something I’ve passed down to my daughter, Dayna, the founder of Storm Sister Project. Together, we share a passion for creating programs that not only uplift but truly empower the next generation of young women.

With a bachelor’s degree and over a decade of nonprofit and educational experience, I’ve worked to create spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and celebrated — from building community activities to initiatives that meet students’ needs beyond the classroom. As a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, I believe in the strength that comes from sisterhood — whether it’s through family, friendship, or shared purpose.

“For me, this isn’t just mentorship — it’s a way of life.”
