Meet Teana
Hi, I’m Teana. I’m a Charlotte native with Caribbean roots from St. Thomas, and I’m proud to call this city home. I’m a registered nurse, a mother, and an ECU alum, and at the core of everything I do is a deep love for people, community, and sisterhood.
I grew up surrounded by family and siblings, which shaped my understanding of connection, responsibility, and resilience early on. Like many young women, I’ve faced my own storms — navigating life, mental health challenges, and the journey of becoming the woman I am today. Those experiences taught me the importance of having safe spaces, honest conversations, and people who truly see you.
That’s why Storm Sister Project means so much to me. In my role as Board Member of Culture & Experience, I’m passionate about helping create environments where young women feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow through whatever season they’re in. I want every girl who comes into this space to feel like she belongs — because sisterhood can truly change everything.
