The Story Behind Our Adopted Streets in North Charlotte

When we started thinking about how we wanted to show up in the community, we knew it had to be intentional.

Choosing which streets to adopt wasn’t random—it was personal.

The Northlake area in Charlotte, North Carolina is where so much of our story began. Our founding members—Dayna, Taylor, Bria, and Teana—all grew up in the North Charlotte–Huntersville area and went to school together at Hopewell.

So when it came time to give back, we chose to show up in a place that already meant something to us.

We adopted streets right here in the Northlake area, including the full stretch of Perimeter Parkway and a section of Northlake Centre Parkway—two of the most active roads near Northlake Mall in North Charlotte.

You can find our Adopt-A-Street signs at:

  • The corner of Perimeter Parkway & W.T. Harris Blvd (near Best Buy)

  • The corner of Northlake Centre Parkway & Northlake Mall Drive

For us, adopting these streets is more than just keeping them clean.

Each program season, our mentors and mentees will come together for community service experiences, including street cleanups along these roads. It’s a chance to build real connections, show up for the community, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

For many of our girls, this will be their first time seeing the impact they can make—not just talking about it, but actually doing it.

And that’s what this is really about.

Creating connection.
Building responsibility.
Making a real impact—right here in North Charlotte 🤍
